From sunrise past sunset: a day with CMSAF Bass

Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. (AFNS) – Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force JoAnne S. Bass represents the highest enlisted level of leadership, and consequently, works a demanding schedule providing direction for the enlisted force and representing their interests. One of the many ways Bass fulfills this duty to Airmen is by traveling across the globe visiting Air Force installations, delivering guidance and sparking dialogue in the enlisted force.
Chief Master Sgt. Jason Shaffer, 56th Fighter Wing command chief, Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force Joanne S. Bass, and Brig. Gen. Jason Rueschhoff, 56th Fighter Wing commander, speak upon the CMSAF’s arrival to the 56th FW, Nov. 29, 2023, at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. Bass serves as the voice of the enlisted force, traveling across the globe visiting Air Force installations, delivering guidance and sparking dialogue in the enlisted force.
