Fourth quarter collapse dooms Bulldogs

Just when it looked as if the Crestview boys basketball team had a fighting chance against Pope John Paul II on Wednesday things fell apart. The Bulldogs had closed a Knight lead that had once been 15 points to a point at 41-40 after Makhi Jones hit a pair of free throws with 7:20 left in the fourth quarter. John Paul, out of Hendersonville, Tenn., exploded for a 30-11 run after the free throws by Jones.
Crestview’s Makhi Jones gets off a 3-point shot over Kamden Days. Jones scored 27 points for the Bulldogs.
