A small fire at Crestview High School is under investigation.
“All students and staff are safe following a small fire in the girls’ locker room at Crestview High School. First responders arrived quickly and are currently on campus,” said public information officer Catherine Card. “Students will return to class once the building is cleared. The incident remains under investigation.”
“School resource officers were able to quickly extinguish the fire,” Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office officials said on Facebook. “No injuries were reported. Both school resource officers were transported to North Okaloosa Medical Center as a precaution. All students and staff were evacuated to the football stadium and the school is planning on resuming normal operation. Motorists can expect traffic congestion in the area and additional deputies are on scene for traffic control.”
