Dogs find forever homes

| Staff Reporters
A total of 15 dogs were adopted at a March 1 dog-adoption event conducted by Crestview Animal Services and Saving with Soul Pet Rescue of Northwest Florida.

The event took place at the Crestview Public Library.

These large breed puppies born Nov. 19 were available at the adoption event hosted by Crestview Animal Services and Saving with Soul Pet Rescue. There are three girls and two boys.

“Turnout was amazing,” Saving with Soul founder and President Jennifer Hagedorn said in a news release. “From the minute we opened the doors, we were overrun with visitors. It was great.”

The library has become a new venue for pet adoption events hosted by Crestview Animal Services and now Saving with Soul Pet Rescue.

“Partnerships between animal shelters and local animal rescues are so important because it allows a more collaborative approach to lifesaving,” Crestview Animal Control officer Katie Healey said. “When you adopt or rescue from a shelter you are creating space for us to help more animals in need.”

More pet adoption events are coming. To stay updated, follow Crestview Animal Services on Facebook and visit cityofcrestview.org under the Animal Services section to see a list of adoptable animals.
