County marches closer to proposed footbridge

Planning, permitting and design tasks for a proposed Yellow River pedestrian footbridge that will benefit Florida National Scenic Trail hikers have received the green light.
This map shows the location of the Florida National Scenic Trail via a solid orange line on both sides of the Yellow River. The dotted yellow line represents the 20-mile path that thru-hikers must take along the shoulders of State Road 85 and U.S. Highway 90 because of a trail gap and the lack of a footbridge over the river.
