It was early October 1922 and Warren Harding was President of the United States. In New York City, the New York Giants faced the New York Yankees in the World Series with the Giants winning baseball’s top prize.

In the sleepy hamlet we know as Baker, Shady Grove Assembly of God was meeting for the first time.

Shady Grove Assembly of God will hold a 100-year Homecoming celebration on Oct. 2.
