The Baker School gym was filled with some of the strongest young men in the state of Florida on Saturday. A total of 266 lifters from 27 schools were on hand to take part in the Region 1-1A championship.
Florida High and Maclay had the furthest trips coming 160 miles from Tallahassee. Port St. Joe made the 140-mile trip to Okaloosa County.
Baker took second place as a team in the Traditional competition of the Region 1-1A weightlifting meet on Saturday.
