It was a full day of baseball last Thursday in Laurel Hill as the Hoboes hosted Samson and Atmore Christian.


Game one was a three-hour long marathon, but the Hoboes crossed the finish line with an 18-17 walk-off win. The Hoboes took their momentum into game two and won 14-4 in five innings via run rule.

The Okaloosa County School Board voted last Monday to increase general admission ticket prices at high school athletic games.

The Crestview Beach Volleyball team finished their six-game road series this past Wednesday where they took on the South Walton Seahawks for the second time.


Their first meeting didn’t fare well for the Bulldogs as they lost 4-1. Fortune didn’t favor the bold this time either as Crestview lost 5-0.

Crestview tennis has all the momentum as districts approach.


The boys’ team has won four straight after sweeping West Florida last Tuesday. The girls beat West Florida 5-2 in their match, winning three in-a-row for the Bulldogs.

The Laurel Hill softball team had a rough start to the season, only winning one game before spring break.


The Hoboes returned and put together a three-game winning streak, before their most recent game against Lighthouse Private Christian Academy handed the Hoboes an 18-17 loss in extras.

The Baker softball team went on the road last Tuesday for a tough matchup against district opponent Central.


As of March 31, Central sits at number two in the FHSAA Rural Region 1 softball rankings, with an overall record of 11-1. That record gained a loss last Tuesday as the Gators beat Central 11-6.

The Baker baseball team have been trying to find their footing since coming back from spring break.


After the weeklong vacation, the Gators record between the past four games is 2-2, with their most recent victory over Pensacola Christian Academy this past Tuesday.

The Crestview softball team took to the road over the weekend to compete in a two-day tournament in Gadsden, AL.


After a 4-0 performance, the Bulldogs turned right around and carried the weekend momentum into last Monday’s game against the Mosley Dolphins at home with a run-rule 11-1 win.

As more and more products are created, the more people purchase from stores. Whether they are for long or short-term use, these purchases can often find their way on a street, on the grass in a park, or floating down the river.


Okaloosa Board of County Commissioners sought to counteract the amount of litter in Okaloosa County with Keep Okaloosa Beautful. Their most recent venture was a river cleanup at Milligan/Yellow River Park in Baker last Tuesday.

The Crestview baseball team got a visit from Dothan, AL as they hosted the Houston Academy Raiders in a double header last Monday.


Game one went into Major League innings until the Bulldogs were finally able to get one across in the ninth for a 5-4 win. Game two wasn’t as favorable for Crestview with the Raiders winning 6-4 after seven.
