Bulldog softball “springs” into action before break
The Crestview softball team was coming off a big-time loss to state-ranked Pace after a 9-0 no-hitter put the team at 4-4. The Bulldogs didn’t hang their heads in defeat but faced the challenge of getting better.
After a day of no school, the Bulldog softball team hosted the Destin Sharks for one more game on Friday before spring break, getting back in the win column with a 6-2 final score.
Baker announces new girls’ basketball coach
The Baker girls’ basketball team has been led by Chelsea Medley for approximately five years now.
With having little time for her family, Medley has decided to step away from basketball and solely focus on being the Gators volleyball coach. Filling the role is Demeika McClendon, who has had major success in her coaching career at Niceville High School.
Crestview weightlifting competes at Navarre Invitational
The Crestview boys’ weightlifting team took a trip to Navarre this past Wednesday to compete at the Navarre Invitational Meet.
The Bulldogs placed sixth as a team in Traditional and eighth in Olympic, with Andre Bridgewater and June Kawasumi both placing top three.
Crestview baseball takes two close losses on the road
Crestview baseball was on a three-game winning streak after their close loss to Tate.
The Bulldogs’ streak would end after a walk-off loss at Choctaw 5-4, and a 5-3 loss to district opponent Navarre this past Thursday.
Grammy & Dove award winner, David Phelps, brings tour to Crestview
David Phelps is bringing his “Speak of Love” Tour to Crestview on Saturday, March 14. Phelps brings his award-winning tenor vocals to First Baptist Church Crestview, to perform songs from his latest album “Speak of Love”.
Bulldog tennis hosts back-to-back games
The Crestview tennis team got to host Rocky Bayou Knights and Choctaw Indians on their home courts this past Tuesday and Wednesday.
The boys handled their end beating Rocky Bayou 6-1 and Choctaw 5-2. The girls split their two games, losing to the Knights 5-2 before turning the score in their favor over the Indians 5-2.
Laurel Hill puts up a fight against district opponent
The Laurel Hill varsity baseball team has been on the road for six straight games dating back to February 27.
The Hoboes have since won over Bethlehem 17-1, lost to Pensacola 14-13, and lost to district opponent Paxton last Tuesday 9-5.
Crestview beach volleyball best Choctaw
Crestview beach volleyball faced off against the Choctaw Indians for the second time this season last Tuesday.
After winning 4-1 on the road, Crestview competed on home sand to complete the series winning 3-2.
Baker wins in district matchup against Laurel Hill
It was a Rural District 1 softball match between the Laurel Hill Hoboes and Baker Gators last Monday.
Laurel Hill grasped an early lead in the first, but Baker’s consistent bats led to its third straight win with a final score 15-2.
Laurel Hill has second signing in two weeks
After Arlana Williams signed to Enterprise State on March 5, Laurel Hill now has their second girls’ basketball signee with Aiyana Dixon.
Dixon will continue her education and basketball career at Southern Union State Community College in Wadley, AL.
