United States Attorney Roger Handberg on Tuesday announced a grand jury indictment charging Marcus Pratt, a 38-year-old prisoner at the Okaloosa Correctional Institution near Crestview, with three counts of mailing threatening communications and three counts of influencing, impeding, or retaliating against a federal judge.

Lifetime Crestview resident J.T. Garrett, who enjoyed impersonating “Barney Fife” from “The Andy Griffith Show” and once had a real brush with Hollywood fame, died on March 3 at age 96.
