Because of persisting rain showers, this year’s Downtown Crestview Christmas Parade originally set for Saturday evening has been rescheduled to Sunday evening.

The parade, which has a theme of “A Storybook Christmas” and will proceed up Main Street, is scheduled to begin right after the 5 p.m. lighting of the city’s Christmas tree. The tree stands next to the Okaloosa County Veterans Memorial on the northeast corner of Courthouse Terrace and Main Street.

The annual Christmas Parade, which is the largest parade in Okaloosa County, is spearheaded by the nonprofit Main Street Crestview Association in partnership with the city of Crestview.
