“Ms. Hardin is a lifelong educator whose passion for teaching and service has shaped countless lives,” District Superintendent Marcus Chambers said Tuesday in a news release. “With over three decades in education, she has spent the last six years helping our youngest learners thrive in the VPK program. Her mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure every child enters kindergarten with a strong academic foundation and the confidence of knowing they are loved by Ms. Hardin.

“Beyond the classroom, Ms. Hardin’s heart for service shines through her work tutoring underprivileged children, mentoring youth through her church and city programs, coaching basketball, and volunteering for cultural initiatives like the Juneteenth celebration. Her dedication to education and community is truly inspiring, and we are honored to celebrate her incredible impact!”
