The event will take place at the Crestview Community Center, 1446 Commerce Drive. Doors will open at 7 a.m. and the program will begin at 7:30 a.m.

In December 2023, Zalewski was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General at the Florida National Guard Headquarters in St. Augustine, Crestview officials said in a news release. As a one-star general, he serves as the senior chaplain in the Air Force National Guard and is currently the only priest holding the rank of general in the Air National Guard. Alongside his pastoral duties in the diocese, he serves as the director of the Office of the Joint Chaplain for the National Guard Bureau in Washington, which supports members of both the Air Force and Army National Guard.

“Join us for a morning filled with inspiration and community spirit as Mayor J.B. Whitten opens the event with a warm welcome,” Crestview officials said in the news release. “We would also like to express our gratitude to our sponsors, All-In Credit Union and Rocky Bayou Christian School. This event would not be possible without their support. The breakfast is complimentary for all attendees, making it a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow residents and enjoy an encouraging message.”

To ensure all guests are accommodated, attendees are asked to register by Monday, April 14. They can confirm their attendance by visiting loom.ly/nulhZjo or by calling the mayor’s assistant, Dominique Vaughn, at (850) 682-3812.
