Since May 2015, Howard has lived at the Aspire at Shoal Creek nursing home in Crestview, where her friends and the facility’s staff plan to host a birthday party for her.

Howard grew up in Ohio and relocated to Crestview because of the warm weather, said Morgan Trenkler, the nursing home’s community life director.

“She is a retired retail worker but held many jobs that she loved including farming, mill work, and the airplane factory,” Trenkler said. “She enjoyed volunteering with the church and the children and was a bus driver, Sunday school teacher, and youth leader. She also raised six children who she is very proud of.”

Howard now enjoys spending her time with family and two close friends, Stacey and Muriel, and singing from her hymn book.

“She has made many friends in the facility and is loved by all who know her,” Trenkler said.

Folks who want to send Howard a birthday card can mail it to Aspire at Shoal Creek, 500 Hospital Drive, Crestview, Florida, 32539.
