The game against Houston County (Ala.) was still played, as scheduled on Sept. 26, the original homecoming date.

“Due to the cancellation of school on Thursday September 26th and the uncertainty of the impact from the impending inclement weather system headed our way with an overabundance of caution Baker School will be moving all of its homecoming activities to Friday November 1st,” a Facebook post from the school read.

The school’s homecoming parade will be at 4 p.m. Nov. 1, with the king announcement set for 6:45 p.m. The game will kick off at 7 p.m.
