Heat control protects players

A little more than an hour into Monday’s official practice of the fall season, the Crestview football team was reminded that it is still very much summer in North Okaloosa County, not that the Bulldog coaches and players needed it.
Chayson Lawerence delivers a pass for Crestview during the abbreviated day of fall practice. The practice was cut short due to lightning in the area and the rising heat index. Teams can’t practice if lightning is within 10 miles of the stadium.
