County says FPL solar site had uncontrolled stormwater runoff
Okaloosa County officials on Tuesday issued a stop-work order for Florida Power & Light’s planned Kayak Solar Energy Center project after discovering recent heavy rains had washed large amounts of sediment from the project site into adjacent waterways.
Workers used shovels and buckets on March 11 to remove some of the sediment washed away from the site of FPL’s planned Kayak Solar Energy Center in Holt.
