Trailing Laurel Hill 50-48 with 3.2 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Baker’s Lady Gators might not have needed a miracle, but they needed something close.
A Lady Hobo turnover on a 5-second call gave Baker the ball near mid-court. Lady Gator coach Chelsea Medley called a timeout and drew up a play that worked to perfection. McKenzie McGraw, who at that point had a team-leading 22 points, would get one more shot.
