The menu consists of turkey and dressing, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, pie and a roll. The meals are offered at no cost and will be delivered no later than noon on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27.
To order a meal, call (850) 682-8435 between noon and 5 p.m. Please provide a name, a good phone number, and the address for delivery. The delivery area is from Yellow River bridge on the west to the Shoal River bridges (both east and south) and to Auburn Road on the north. Those outside of this area can order meals for pickup only.
Post officials are accepting donations to assist with this program. Frozen turkeys can be dropped off at Amvets Post 35, 105 John King Road, Crestview, from now until Nov. 19. Officials will also accept donations of pies (pre-cooked only, please) starting on Nov. 20.
Anyone who would like to volunteer to help serve or deliver meals should arrive at Post 35 by 9 a.m. on Nov. 27.
