The crash occurred at 7:50 p.m. Sunday at the U.S. Highway 4-Galliver Cutoff Road intersection.
Frazier was traveling south on U.S. 4, approaching the intersection of Galliver Cutoff Road at an extremely high rate of speed, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. The other vehicle, which was being driven by an 18-year-old Pensacola man, was turning north from Galliver Cutoff Road onto northbound U.S. 4.
The Pensacola man turned his vehicle left into the path of Frazier’s vehicle, “which was traveling well beyond the posted speed of 45 mph,” and the front of Frazier’s vehicle struck the driver side of the other vehicle, FHP officials said.
The Pensacola man suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center in Pensacola. Frazier was arrested on charges of DUI with serious bodily injury and reckless driving with serious bodily injury. He was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail, where he was being held without bond.
