The seminar aims to reduce local overdose rates by providing important information on opioid overdose prevention. The initiative is led by Crestview Mayor JB Whitten.

“Making events like this one available for our residents to attend can help create a safer and more aware community,” Whitten said in a news release.

The seminar will feature guest speaker Ashlee Olbricht, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, mental health advocate, and author of “The Hurricane Within.”

Attendees can also look forward to exhibits and a Q&A panel discussion with experts from the Crestview Police Department, Crestview Fire Department, Okaloosa County EMS, and Bridgeway Center.
