In addition to managing the extensive process of preparing documentation for 235 accreditation standards required by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, Lowrey oversaw the onsite assessment by CFA Commissioners, S.O. officials said in a news release.

The S.O. achieved its fifth reaccreditation, but also earned the highly prestigious “Excelsior Status,” a distinction reserved for agencies that demonstrate long term consistency and excellence.

A CFA official said, “Accreditation is a coveted award that symbolizes professionalism, excellence, and competence. Employees will take pride in their agency, knowing that it represents the very best in law enforcement.”
