The FHCA’s annual Excellence in Long Term Care Nursing Awards ceremony recognizes nurses and nursing assistants in Florida who embody FHCA’s mission to provide the highest quality of care to long term care residents across the state.

In her six years of service in Crestview, Justice has emerged as a motivated and trusted leader, beginning as a cart nurse and working her way to a key leadership role. In July, she will officially step into the position of director of nursing, a promotion that reflects her exceptional leadership, initiative, and unwavering dedication to quality care.

“Amanda Justice’s compassion, resilience, and steady leadership represent the very best of long-term care,” Emmett Reed, FHCA CEO, said today in a news release. “Her rapid growth, tireless dedication, and ability to lead in times of crisis signal a bright future not just for her, but for the entire profession.”

Justice is widely recognized for her steady leadership during emergencies. She led a team on a six-hour deployment to support a sister facility during a hurricane and coordinated staffing and transportation during an unprecedented snowstorm to ensure resident care continued without interruption.

She is also a graduate of FHCA’s Executive Nurses Leadership Academy, further demonstrating her commitment to the profession.

“Amanda Justice embodies the qualities of a Rising Star – leadership, initiative, and an unrelenting drive to serve others,” said Daniel Blakely, administrator at Crestview Rehabilitation Center and her nominator. “Her journey from a novice cart nurse to a poised and capable director of nursing, combined with her extraordinary efforts in times of crisis, make her an outstanding candidate for this award.”
