Barlow joins state Rehab Council

Crestview resident Bonnie Barlow, who is the president and CEO of Bridgeway Center Inc., is one of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ dozen appointees to the Florida Rehabilitation Council, according to a news release issued Friday by the governor’s office.

The Council was established to assist the Florida Department of Education, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation in planning and developing statewide rehabilitation programs and services.

Barlow is the chair-elect of the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Okaloosa County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, the Crestview Opioid Task Force, and the Industry and Education Consortium of CareerSource Florida.

The nonprofit Bridgeway Center Inc., based in Fort Walton Beach, is dedicated to servicing behavioral health needs, fostering low-income housing, and working to end homelessness. Barlow has worked with BCI for 38 years and has been its CEO since August 2018.

She was inducted into the Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women Hall of Fame in 2023.
