A private landowner continues conducting a controlled burn to clear underbrush on a 120-acre property between Garden City Road and Possum Ridge Road in Garden City.

The landowner has a permit from the Florida Forest Service to conduct the “Silvicultural-Ecological burn,” which is expected to help prevent wildfires.
