During this period, city employees will provide free manned dumpsters around the city for everyone to use. All community members are invited to participate in the cleanup.

This initiative was started by Mayor J.B. Whitten four years ago.

“It’s important we keep our city clean so we can enjoy everything it has to offer even more,” Whitten said Thursday in a news release. “Let’s do our part in keeping Crestview beautiful.”

Dumpster locations will be at Old Spanish Trail Park on Stillwell Boulevard, Allen Park at 895 McClelland St., and an area between 114 and 122 Wild Horse Drive.

Please note that tires will be accepted only at the Old Spanish Trail Park dumpster location, where there will be a specific drop-off area.

Dumpsters will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. You can bring the following items: mattresses, tires (Old Spanish Trail Park site only), electronics, small household items, and appliances. However, officials cannot accept household trash, hazardous materials like paint or chemicals, car batteries, construction debris, or yard waste.

Large appliances, furniture, and yard waste can be picked up with regular garbage service from Adams Sanitation. For more details, go to cityofcrestview.org/418/Solid-Waste-Garbage-Information or download the Adams Sanitation app. Call (850) 537-3282 for more information.

For disposal of hazardous waste like paint or chemicals, visit Okaloosa County’s drop-off site at 1759 S. Ferdon Boulevard in Crestview. More information is available at myokaloosa.com/pw/environmental/hazardous-waste. For additional details, call (850) 301-2013.
