Attendees will have the chance to get the first pick of books during an early bird sale that’s set for 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Early bird entry is $2 per family.

The book sale will continue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, when admission is free.

Purchases can be made with cash or cards. Hardcover books will cost $1 each and paperbacks will be two for $1. Numerous books in different categories will be available, including fiction, nonfiction, children’s, teens, how-to, travel, and cookbooks.

The nonprofit Friends’ group will hold a bake sale in conjunction with the book sale. In addition, the Caffeine & Chaos coffee truck will be on site.

“We will also have a raffle for a beautiful queen-size quilt made by one of our members,” said Nancy Meiselman, who chairs the Friends’ Media Committee.

Raffle tickets will be $2 each, or you can buy six tickets for $10.

Proceeds from the overall two-day event will help the Friends group support the public library, which stands at 1445 Commerce Drive. Proceeds from past book sales have paid for a popcorn machine, a large LEGO set, and child-development sensory boards for the library.
