In addition, a Christmas nativity with live animals, such as goats and sheep, will be set up in the church’s side lot, where falling snow will be provided via a snow machine. The overall event also will include free refreshments, live music, and an interactive children’s drama.

“Experience Christmas” is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at the church. It stands at 171 E. Hickory Ave., adjacent to the north end of Main Street.
“Our theme for this year’s event is ‘A Colorful Christmas,’ with colors that tell a story,” Laura Kitchen, who is the church’s office manager and director of marketing, said today.

The event will be held on the same evening as the Main Street Crestview Association’s Annual Christmas Parade. The parade will kick off on Main Street following the city’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony, which takes place at 5 p.m. next to the Okaloosa County Veterans Memorial on the corner of Main Street and Courthouse Terrace.
First Baptist Church of Crestview welcomes people to enjoy the “Experience Christmas” event before, during, or after the parade, Kitchen said.
