Returning District Superintendent Marcus Chambers, returning School Board Member Tim Bryant, and newly elected School Board Member Parker Destin were sworn into office.

In addition to Bryant and Destin, the School Board consists of Lamar White, Linda Evanchyk and Brett Hinely. During the organizational meeting, the board chose White to serve as its chairman and Evanchyk to serve as its vice-chairwoman for the upcoming year.

“As Superintendent of the Okaloosa County School District, my passion and commitment remain centered on our students — the heart of everything we do,” Chambers said Tuesday in a news release. “Every decision we make is driven by a desire to create opportunities for their success, foster a safe and supportive environment, and help them achieve their full potential. This work would not be possible without the dedication and excellence of our teachers, staff, and administrators, who tirelessly support and inspire our students every day. Together, we are building a foundation for success and shaping a brighter future for our entire community.

“We’ve made significant strides in academics, school safety, and providing resources that directly benefit our students. While we have achieved much, there is still important work to be done, and we recognize there is always room for improvement. I’m excited to work with this incredible School Board as we continue our efforts to serve our students and ensure their future success. It is an honor to lead this district, and I remain committed to prioritizing our students’ needs above all.”
