Carnival fun is coming to Crestview

From March 20-29, the Crestview Spring Fling Carnival will bring all the family fun of a traveling carnival — games, rides, a midway, and, of course, carnival cuisine. A portion of the gate take will be presented after the event to the Crestview Historic Preservation Board.
“It’s a fun way to earn money for the board’s various projects,” board President Ann Spann said. “Several years ago, we started a program recognizing the city’s various historic properties with metal historic markers. Thanks to people’s support of the carnivals, we will soon be recognizing more historic places.
“And since September 2022, we’ve been operating the Bush House history museum. Families having a fun time at the carnival help fund these projects,” she added.

The carnival, run by James Gang Amusements of Andalusia, Alabama, will be at Spanish Trail Park in the field adjacent to Stillwell Boulevard. Use the Stillwell entrance.
Gates open at 6 p.m. on weeknights, and 3 p.m. on weekends (March 22, 23, and 29). Arm bands are $20 for unlimited rides on March 20 and from March 24-27. Friday and weekend admission is $25.
“Come have fun and help preserve and recognize Crestview’s history and heritage at the same time,” Spann said.
